Headstrong...

I figured that, after getting money from some KS99 runs I did awhile ago, I passed 5 million gil, so I felt now would be a good time to spend it.

And so I bought up another dozen synth's worth of materials to continue cranking away at those Moonring Blades, and went ahead. Of interest, Gold Ingots were selling for 1.4m/stk, but only around 110k/ea. Doing the math, you save 80k from buying it up in singles. Granted, 80k isn't much in the greater scheme of things, but firstly, it adds up, and secondly, who turns down 80k in 5 minutes? >_<

Contrary to my usual practice of skilling up on Darksday, I tried synthing on Windsday (the day of the crystal) instead, after hearing reports on the Alla tradeskills forum that concurred with something I suspected with that awful Watersday sometime back. Past a certain point, trying to skillup on the day your crystal is weak to is only going to make you tear your hair out.

And so, without further ado,

Yes, that is everything except the Gold Ingot. ^^

And that is that. ^^ I tried desynthing all the blades I made, and actually managed to HQ3 two of them, getting back to Gold Ingot. I now have four Gold Ingots from the original twelve, which means that that +0.3 only cost me around 1 million gil. (Note the "only" ; ;)
