Nine levels to freeeeeeedom...

Keeping more or less with the general plan of burning a stack of Gold a week (or at least, that was the case for the last two weeks), I decided I was carrying too much gil on me, and seeing it was a Full Moon, Windsday, I decided to try skilling up to get that last +0.3.

Starting Goldsmithing skill: 70.7
Skillup synth: Moonring Blade (cap 73)
Imagery Support: None
Equipment of note: Pluto's Staff
Direction: North
Location: Mog House
Moghancement: Powerful Fire
Moon phase: Windsday, Full Moon (98%)

70.7
11:37 Success.
11:49 Success.
12:00 Success, +0.1!

70.8
12:12 Success.
12:26 Failed- lost the Gold Ingot, Mercury.
12:40 Success.
12:52 Success.
13:03 Failed- lost the Gold Ingot.
13:17 Success.
13:29 Success.
13:41 Success, +0.1!

70.9
13:54 Success.
17:36 Success.

I was so disappointed after that. After thirteen synths, I only got +0.2. 0.2! For 1.5 million gil! I was a very sad taru. Even more frustrating, my skillups just abandoned me right at 70.9, too. -_-

If there was anything to be cheerful about though, my plants had finally bloomed and was ready to be harvested! I was quite pleased with my total yield, even though one mule turned out a dud and only managed to grow one stack of Platinum Nuggets. -_- In the end though, I managed to pull out 18 stacks of Platinum Nuggets from all my pots (60 pots), which at current prices of 230k/stk of Tree Cuttings and 190k/stk Platinum Nuggets, I just earned myself a nice extra 2.2 million gil or so, which is probably going to be spent funding next week's Gold Ingots. :P

In either case, I decided to try skilling up once more with one last Gold Ingot I made out of Beastcoins on Darksday. The first time, I failed the synth, but fortunately didn't lose the Gold Ingot. I did, however, lose the Tama-Hanage (my only one left), so a quick run down to the Jeuno Tenshodo was in order.

I then sat down once again, and held my breath. Thankfully, the magical words finally came across the screen:

{/joy} ^^

I really wonder how much I spent on this level. I went through an initial 26 Gold Ingots for my first 0.7, before desynthing everything and leaving me with four Ingots. I then used another thirteen Ingots today, bringing the total count to 35 Gold Ingots. Put all the costs and everything together, it's looking at roughly three sets worth of synths, or roughly 4.5-4.6 million gil for that one level.

Now, if only I can keep this up for another nine more levels...^^;
